UtVideo - Codecs - video encoders
- UtVideo is a series of codecs (video encoders) designed and maintained by UMEZAWA Takeshi from Japan.
- Thanks to these codecs, the generated videos are 10 times smaller than raw AVI while retaining lossless quality.
- We use the free version and it’s ad-free.
- This software is open source, updated for over 18 years, mainly used for scientific devices such as microscopes and telescopes, in other words very reliable.
Easy installation
- Download and execute utvideo-23.2.0-win.exe.
- Installation is very easy, it’s the same type of installer as MmdStart.
- Restart MMD, the video encoder list will be populated with the UtVideo codecs.
- Official site of UtVideo : github.com/umezawatakeshi/utvideo/
I advise against using other codecs, as they are often nests of viruses and trojans.
Usage: when generating the video ‘Render to AVI file’, in the ‘Video compressor’ selection, choose the first ‘UtVideo YUV420 BT.709 DMO’.
Features
